About the Montagu Project
The Montagu Project is an ongoing study abroad program that partners young African people — specially selected for their leadership potential — with University of Southern Maine (USM) undergraduate and graduate students to build a uniquely engaging community experience. Each year a new group is selected to join veteran program participants in Montagu, South Africa for intensive leadership training. After this dynamic workshop, delegates return home empowered to make a positive impact in communities.
